Get dressed Poulters!

You may recall in a previous blog that Mr P admitted he walks around without clothes on in his kitchen. He will now have to wrap a towel around himself to protect his modesty. Well the view from the balcony offers you lucky people the chance to capture this incredible sight for yourself. It has been suggested, without Dave’s knowledge that we fit a couple of the binocular type devices, the ones you see at the seaside. Not only will this offer an alternative form of entertainment during a quiet lull in the game but it will also bring in much needed funds. I think 10p for 5 minutes is not unreasonable. Hmm…hang on a minute this could also be an opportunity for the start a new fundraiser here and no it’s not going to be bonus balls. If you have any suggestions then please make them known.

This is a shot of the inside of what will be Peckers office. The cables you see here will be left just as they are to make Peck feel at ease, remembering fondly how the old lounge used to look once he started plugging in his electrical bits and pieces. Interestingly there is no handle on the inside of the door so what that means once the door is closed is anyone’s guess.

I am going to throw this one in as it has been a quite a few months since we last saw a trench being dug, so for old times sake…a trench, with a pipe.

Mr W I could not help but take this picture; could these be the missing spectacles? Well the simple answer is no as they are mine. I strategically placed them there for effect and to attract your attention.

Next we see where Dani will be spending most of her weekends during the summer, it will save her having to worry about driving home late after a shift behind the bar. Simply climb the steps, through the gap and hey presto overnight accommodation. The positioning was crucial and you will note Dani will not even have to leave the bar, how thoughtful. I am sure Birdy would even run to the cost a of a duvet.

Onto more mundane stuff now like how the real work is progressing. Here we see the away dressing room, now with the walls plastered.

The home team dressing room. In the second picture is the entrance on the left and straight ahead a loo and the shower area to the right beyond the wall.

Downstairs again now to see the walls have been dry lined awaiting the plasterers. I think it is fair to say that the inside will be very light and bright with the sun streaming in through the many doors and windows.

Well there you have it, the latest developments in a nutshell. I also understand that it may only be a few weeks and the steel work will be in place ready to accept the balcony. More of this as and when it happens.

Apologies for this blog being a touch random, I haven’t been well you know but hopefully soon I will feel better and a more clear logical, coherent piece will be written. Don’t hold your breath though, sixty plus years and I haven’t written one yet so what are the chance now?
