Frocester Cricket Club is one of the top cricket clubs in Gloucestershire, fielding four men’s teams on a Saturday. In 2023, the 1st XI will once again play in the WEPL Premier 1; the Club won the title in 2014 and 2015 and were runners-up in 2016. This promotion was achieved as winners of the Tier two Glos/Wilts Division in 2022. The 2nd XI play in tier 3 of WEPL, with all the opposition being 1st XI’s. The 3rd XI play in Division 4 of the GCL, whilst the 4thXI play in the local Stroud League. The Women’s section has teams entered in both hardball and softball leagues.

The youth structure offers a full range of cricket for boys and girls. For 6-8 year old beginners, we run the ECB All Stars programme. Our youth teams play at under 9, 11, 13 and 15. More information about the Youth section and how to join is available in the youth section.

With two delightful cricket grounds, Pounds Close and St Peters, playing or watching cricket at Frocester is always enjoyable. The St Peters ground has a second cricket square, providing ample capacity for junior matches.

The social activities, run by the Supporters Club committee, are almost without parallel. They aim to organize at least one event per month. Annual highlights include the Frocester Festival, 40 years and still going strong. Other notable events include a Safari Supper and Advent Lunch, with league skittles ensuring the bar is open all year round.

The new pavilion has been up and running since the 2017 season. The well appointed clubhouse is available for hire.

The Club has just been awarded its fourth Outstanding Certificate, in four years, in the It’s your Neighbourhood awards! Thanks to the great effort of the team who make the Clubhouse and surrounds such a magnificent place! Perhaps not surprisingly we achieved 40 out of 40 for our community spirit and a total of 93 marks out of 100, a truly magnificent effort! Well done all involved!
